Jeremy Robbins //DCTV Instructor Likes: Yoga, Cardamom Seeds Dislikes: Disingenuous Actions Jeremy Robins is a media educator and documentary filmmaker based in Brooklyn. He's recently worked as a field producer for MTV's True Life, and has worked as a Director of Photography on shows for PBS and the Hartley Film Foundation. In 2002 he worked for POV, editing and designing curriculum for "POV's Borders", a web-based experimental documentary exploring race and migration. In addition to teaching production classes at DCTV, he's led documentary projects with NYC public high school students since 1998. He has also written for The Independent Film & Video Monthly and the Brooklyn Rail. He's currently finishing a feature-length documentary on Haitian rara music in Brooklyn called "The Other Side of the Water". |
