John Kaplan // Cable Show Producer Volunteer John Kaplan has been at DCTV since 1995, starting as an intern doing general office work Soon, he was asked to produce DCTV's program "DCTV Presents". Later, he was asked to produce "Youth In Focus". After that he started creating a video training program for the disabled which became ConnecTV for which he still contributes, being disabled himself. Up to this point, in addition to his production work, he also became DCTV's receptionist - handling general information, workshop signup and bookkeeping for daily accounts. When DCTV had its renovation in 2004, his role changed; he became exclusivly involved in the production end of DCTV, but he still produces and edits "DCTV Presents" and "Youth In Focus". In addition, he is working on a lengthy project of creating from scratch promotional promos and segments about the different services DCTV offers, to help DCTV's visability. Currently and down the road, he intends putting both the cable programs and the promotional works on the web to increase our visibility even further; and anticipates working on the archives of DCTV for broadcast and webcast - 35 years of productions to be organized and updated!
